Kit Egosum SLMis the practical, effective and prompt instrument for the medical examiner to identify the corpse, to fulfil his duties on funeral field law and to return the deceased to the family.
We have created this special bracelet which has to be applied to the corpse’s wrist and a card holder made in transparent special plastic material to be fixed on the external side of the coffin. The two bigger cards which are included in the packaging will be filled in by hand and then inserted inside the bracelet and the card holder. The two smaller cards are adhesive stickers to be put on the death register and on the authorization card. The latter will be given to the deceased’s relatives who on their turn will give it to the funeral home chosen for the funeral organization; the funeral home will be able to handle the coffin only by presenting the authorization card signed by the relatives.
The identifying cards are filled in by the medical examiner and show a progressive numbering; each one of the four identifying cards in a kit shows the same identical number. Therefore the correct identification is assured even in case of coincidences of names. Thanks to that procedure if it is followed step by step, the “Risk Management” red circle can be applied. |

Art. 9-bis …”After having received the communication of a death, the medical examiner carries out the necroscopic examination within 15 hours from the communication, identifies the corpse and writes by indelible ink on a label to be put on as a bracelet to a deceased’s limb: name, surname, dates of birth and death.”

The identifying cards is made of a thermoplastic non-perishable material. The single-sized card is composed of 2 pre-printed bigger cards to be inserted inside “Egosum” bracelet and the latter one inside the card holder to be fixed on the external side of the coffin and 2 other smaller adhesive cards for any file, authorization card or registers.
